Hey CGC family! I love Moffats’s translation of Hebrews 11:1, which reads: “Now faith means we are confident of what we hope for, convinced of what we do not see.” Another translation states, “Faith is the warranty deed, the thing for which you have fondly hoped for is at last yours.” We have to believe we have our petitions and then we get them. Faith is proving God’s Word by acting on it. Romans 10:10 says, “For with the heart man believeth…” We have to get beyond mental assent in believing that what we ask according to God’s Word will come to pass. Mark 11:24 tells us that “..Whatsoever we desire, when we pray, believe taht we receive them and we shall have them. When do we receive them? Not when we see them but rather when we believe. It does not take faith to believe for something we can see. Romans 4:17 tells us to call those things that be not as though they were. Bible faith is believing what God says over our circumstances. In summary, we need to have God’s Word for what we desire to receive from Him; believe God’s Word; consider not the circumstances; praise God for the answer before we see the manifestation. I know many of have been believing for significant things since the fast in January. The question is when did we receive the answer for those petitions? According to the Word, it is when we believe and not when we see. So let us stand strong together as a church family giving consistent praise to God for the manifestation of requests that we have already believed for and we’ll begin to see those ships parked in our front yards! Remember that without faith it is impossible to please Him. We’re a God pleasing congregation at CGC that continues to exercise our faith to make an impact on others to receive salvation and all of God’s best. Be encouraged, God always causes us to triumph through Christ! Truth always overrides facts.
You are a blessed, highly favored, and the apple of His eye. Dedicated to His service; Pastor Rick
